Meet Melanie

hi! I’m Melanie, A quick Introduction. I am the founder of Here & After. 

 

Melanie's Background

My interest in living naturally started around the time I began studying naturopathy, completing my Advanced Diploma at Nature Care College in 2008, where I became fascinated with understanding how to keep our bodies and lives in balance.

Melanie's Achievements

During the following years working at a chiropractic clinic and herbal pharmacy, my journey led me to food, and specifically the effects of pesticides in our food and soil, chemicals in our environment and the effect of modern technology on the nutritional status of our foods. Six years later, I graduated with a Bachelor of Natural Science in Food Systems from Western Sydney University studying part time while full time mothering.

Becoming a parent while studying the challenges in our environments and food systems only enhanced my desire to live a cleaner, more sustainable life – I’ve spent the last decade researching the best natural products to use around the home, and I’m proud to say Here & After is a culmination of that work.

Many parents I talk to want to take this journey towards sustainable living, but don’t know if it’s realistic for their busy lives and budgets. That’s why we created Here & After, to make living and parenting with the earth in mind not only possible, but practical and preferable.
