Ii! I’m Melanie, A quick Introduction. I am the founder of Here & After.
First, thank you so much for stopping by our little part of the world. We’ve poured our full selves into creating a brand that makes living sustainably achievable for anyone by simplifying the journey through conscious products that last. It’s that simple.
My interest in living naturally started around the time I began studying naturopathy, completing my Advanced Diploma at Nature Care College in 2008, where I became fascinated with understanding how to keep our bodies and lives in balance.
During the following years working at a chiropractic clinic and herbal pharmacy, my journey led me to food, and specifically the effects of pesticides in our food and soil, chemicals in our environment and the effect of modern technology on the nutritional status of our foods. Six years later, I graduated with a Bachelor of Natural Science in Food Systems from Western Sydney University studying part time while full time mothering.
Becoming a parent while studying the challenges in our environments and food systems only enhanced my desire to live a cleaner, more sustainable life – I’ve spent the last decade researching the best natural products to use around the home, and I’m proud to say Here & After is a culmination of that work.
I’m here to share my knowledge on how to reduce chemicals in the home, our carbon footprint and the impact we have on global resources, so we have an after to leave to our children.
Many parents I talk to want to take this journey towards sustainable living, but don’t know if it’s realistic for their busy lives and budgets. That’s why we created Here & After, to make living and parenting with the earth in mind not only possible, but practical and preferable.

Throughout her life, Melanie has accomplished many noteworthy goals. For instance, she started a local book club that encourages young readers to explore literature. However, her greatest achievement may be her role in organizing community art projects, which bring people together. Because of her efforts, many individuals discovered new talents and formed lasting friendships.

Looking ahead, Melanie envisions a future filled with creativity and collaboration. She dreams of expanding her community programs to reach even more individuals, so she is actively seeking partnerships with local organizations. Melanie believes that everyone has a story worth sharing, and she wants to create platforms for diverse voices. Therefore, her journey is far from over; it is just beginning.
